Mohamed Al-Amin
Mohamed Al-Amin is one of the most prominent Egyptian businessmen in the media sector. He was the main owner of Future Media Holding and became a member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Media Group after the Group acquired 51% of Future Media Holding.
There is little information about Al-Amin before his started to invest in the media sector. He started his career in a contracting company and worked in Kuwait for 16 years before returning to Egypt in 2005, where he established Amer Group with businessman Mansour Amer. After the Egyptian revolution in 2011, he started to invest in the media field with the CBC network and Al Watan newspaper. In 2012, he also took over the Arab News Agency (ANA) from Kuwaiti Mohammed Al Kharafi's heirs. In May 2016, CBC announced its merger with Al Nahar network. However, the merger ended in May 2017, due to differences in visions and management policies.
