Nassif Kauzman

Nassif Kauzman is the chairman and owner of El Fagr newspaper and its digital version.There is only little information available about his activities. He owns Voice of the Delta Productions, a company specialized in the production of Arabic songs, and was probably able to invest in media during the era of President Mubarak because of the good relations he had with this regime.

A number of legal complaints were filed against Kauzman because El Fagr newspaper has criticized Al Azhar, one of Egypt’s Islamic landmark institutions. During President Morsi’s term in office, legal complaints were filed against him because of criticisms of the Muslim Brotherhood and of the president published in the newspaper.
