Akhbar Al Youm Portal
Akhbar Al Youm Portal is the digital newspaper of the state-owned Akhbar Al Youm, managed by National Press Authority. There are however two distinct editorial management teams between the print newspaper (Al Akhbar) and the digital portal (Akhbar Al Youm). Journalist Yasser Rezk, who is close to the military establishment, remains chairman of the board of directors of Akhbar Al Youm.
While there is no official launch year, the portal page on Facebook refers to the launch of a website for Akhbar Al Youm in 2000 and the domain name was created in 2001. There is also a reference to the re-launch of the digital portal of Akhbar Al Youm in 2011, after the revolution of January 25th. At the time (link to History), state-owned press organizations have tried to influence Internet users and social media after decades of focusing their efforts on print journalism.

Mohamed Al Bahnasawy, was the managing editor of the state-owned newspaper Al Akhbar, and was appointed as the editor-in-chief of Bawabet Akhbar al Youm in September 2017 by the decision of the National Press Authority.
